Advice for Windows users

Make sure you do a defrag from time to time on your computer. If the computer seems sluggish and/or the hard drive is working hard (listen to the sounds it makes) then check when the last defrag was done. Either schedule a time (once a month is fine for home computers, weekly is fine for office computers) or set aside a regular time during your routine when the defrag can be done. A little bit of care and attention can help avoid big problems later. Think of it as preventive maintenance. Computers are not indestructible, so make backups!
